As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of ability and pure luck. The aim is to move your checkers carefully around the board to your inner board and at the same time your opposition moves their checkers toward their inside board in the opposite direction. With competing player pieces heading in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular techniques at specific instances. Here are the 2 final Backgammon plans to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the aim of the blocking tactic is to hamper the opponents ability to shift his checkers, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any activity of the opposing player by creating a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's chips will either get hit, or result a battered position if he/she at all tries to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be setup anywhere between point two and point 11 in your game board. As soon as you've successfully built the prime to block the activity of your opponent, the competitor does not even get a chance to roll the dice, that means you move your checkers and roll the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Technique

The aims of the Back Game strategy and the Blocking Game strategy are similar - to hurt your opponent's positions with hope to improve your chances of winning, but the Back Game strategy relies on seperate techniques to do that. The Back Game technique is generally employed when you're far behind your opponent. To play Backgammon with this technique, you need to control two or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single piece) late in the game. This tactic is more complex than others to use in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are relocated is partly the result of the dice toss.
