As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of talent and good luck. The goal is to shift your checkers carefully around the board to your inside board and at the same time your opposing player moves their checkers toward their inner board in the opposite direction. With competing player chips moving in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for particular strategies at specific instances. Here are the 2 final Backgammon plans to finish off your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the purpose of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to move their pieces, the Priming Game tactic is to completely block any activity of the opposing player by constructing a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's chips will either get hit, or result a bad position if he ever tries to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be setup anyplace between point two and point 11 in your game board. After you've successfully built the prime to stop the activity of your opponent, the competitor doesn't even get a chance to roll the dice, and you move your checkers and roll the dice again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Tactic

The goals of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game strategy are very similar - to hurt your competitor's positions with hope to boost your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game strategy relies on seperate techniques to achieve that. The Back Game technique is commonly utilized when you are far behind your opponent. To participate in Backgammon with this plan, you have to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single piece) late in the game. This strategy is more challenging than others to employ in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your chips and how the chips are relocated is partly the outcome of the dice roll.
