As we dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of talent and good luck. The goal is to shift your chips carefully around the game board to your inside board and at the same time your opponent shifts their checkers toward their inside board in the opposing direction. With competing player chips heading in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular strategies at specific times. Here are the two final Backgammon tactics to finish off your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking tactic is to hamper the opponents ability to shift her chips, the Priming Game tactic is to absolutely block any activity of the opponent by assembling a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's checkers will either get bumped, or result a damaged position if she ever tries to escape the wall. The trap of the prime can be established anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your game board. Once you've successfully constructed the prime to stop the activity of the competitor, the opponent does not even get a chance to toss the dice, that means you move your checkers and roll the dice again. You will win the game for sure.

The Back Game Tactic

The goals of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game plan are very similar - to harm your competitor's positions with hope to improve your chances of winning, however the Back Game plan utilizes alternate techniques to achieve that. The Back Game tactic is commonly utilized when you are far behind your competitor. To participate in Backgammon with this strategy, you need to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single checker) late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to use in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are relocated is partly the outcome of the dice roll.
