As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and luck. The aim is to move your chips carefully around the game board to your inside board and at the same time your opponent moves their chips toward their home board in the opposite direction. With opposing player pieces shifting in opposing directions there is going to be conflict and the need for particular tactics at specific times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Plan

If the aim of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to shift their checkers, the Priming Game tactic is to completely stop any movement of the opposing player by building a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor's checkers will either get bumped, or end up in a bad position if she at all tries to escape the wall. The trap of the prime can be setup anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your board. Once you have successfully built the prime to prevent the movement of the competitor, the competitor doesn't even get to roll the dice, that means you move your checkers and roll the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Plan

The objectives of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game tactic are very similar - to harm your opponent's positions with hope to improve your chances of winning, but the Back Game technique utilizes alternate techniques to achieve that. The Back Game technique is often employed when you're far behind your opponent. To participate in Backgammon with this tactic, you have to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single piece) late in the game. This strategy is more challenging than others to use in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your chips and how the pieces are relocated is partially the outcome of the dice roll.
