The Running Game Technique

The aim of the Running Game plan is to lure all your checkers into your home board and bear them off as fast as you can. This strategy concentrates on the speed of moving your pieces with absolutely no time spent to hit or block your competitor's pieces. The best scenario to use this strategy is when you believe you can move your own checkers faster than your opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the game board; 2) all your pieces have past your opponent's checkers; or 3) your opponent doesn't employ the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Strategy

The main goal of the blocking technique, by the title, is to stop your opponent's checkers, temporarily, while not fretting about shifting your chips rapidly. After you've established the blockade for your competitor's movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other chips swiftly off the board. The player really should also have a clear strategy when to extract and shift the chips that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when your opposition utilizes the same blocking technique.
