The main goal of the blocking technique, by its title, is to block the opponent's checkers, temporarily, not worrying about moving your chips quickly. Once you've established the barrier for your competitor's movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other checkers swiftly off the board. You really should also have a clear strategy when to withdraw and move the checkers that you employed for blocking. The game gets intriguing when your opposition uses the same blocking tactic.
