As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of talent and good luck. The goal is to shift your pieces carefully around the board to your inside board and at the same time your opponent moves their chips toward their home board in the opposite direction. With competing player pieces shifting in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for specific techniques at particular instances. Here are the last 2 Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Strategy

If the goal of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to move her chips, the Priming Game plan is to completely block any movement of the opponent by creating a prime - ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent's pieces will either get hit, or result a battered position if he at all attempts to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be established anyplace between point two and point 11 in your game board. As soon as you have successfully constructed the prime to stop the movement of your opponent, your opponent does not even get to roll the dice, that means you shift your checkers and toss the dice yet again. You'll win the game for sure.

The Back Game Tactic

The objectives of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game technique are similar - to hurt your competitor's positions with hope to better your odds of winning, but the Back Game technique utilizes different tactics to achieve that. The Back Game technique is generally used when you are far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this tactic, you have to hold two or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single checker) late in the game. This strategy is more complex than others to use in Backgammon seeing as it requires careful movement of your chips and how the checkers are moved is partially the outcome of the dice roll.
