As we dicussed in the last article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and good luck. The goal is to shift your pieces safely around the board to your inside board and at the same time your opposing player shifts their checkers toward their home board in the opposing direction. With opposing player chips moving in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for particular tactics at particular instances. Here are the last two Backgammon strategies to round out your game.

The Priming Game Plan

If the aim of the blocking tactic is to hamper the opponents ability to shift their pieces, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any activity of the opposing player by constructing a prime - ideally 6 points in a row.
