The goal of a Backgammon game is to move your pieces around the game board and bear them from the game board quicker than your challenger who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a match in Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and good luck. Just how far you can shift your checkers is left to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and the way you move your checkers are decided on by your overall gambling plans. Players use different plans in the different stages of a game based on your positions and opponent's.

The Running Game Strategy

The aim of the Running Game plan is to lure all your checkers into your inner board and pull them off as quickly as you can. This plan focuses on the speed of moving your checkers with no efforts to hit or block your competitor's pieces. The best time to use this strategy is when you believe you can move your own pieces quicker than your opposing player does: when 1) you have less chips on the game board; 2) all your checkers have past your competitor's checkers; or 3) your opponent doesn't employ the hitting or blocking tactic.

The Blocking Game Tactic

The primary aim of the blocking technique, by the name, is to stop the opponent's checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your checkers rapidly. After you've created the barrier for the competitor's movement with a few chips, you can shift your other checkers swiftly from the game board. The player should also have a clear plan when to extract and move the checkers that you utilized for the blockade. The game becomes intriguing when the opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
